Outreach The Great Commission.  Matthew Ch28, v18-20
It has been said that a church is the only organisation created for the benefit of non-members. If you go to our Regular Activities page and glance down the diary you will see several activities such as Parent Toddler, Meeting Point and Coffee Mornings where we meet socially with others. The Megaquest holiday club (see right) was a roaring  success with parents and children alike.

The Alpha course has proved a very enjoyable and fruitful way of introducing friends, family and work colleagues for example, to Christianity. Many close friendships have been made during the twelve weeks of the course, (one evening per week.)  The course has been designed for those who are curious about Christianity and encourages participants to ask questions in a friendly, non threatening environment. We have also been involved with the Jesus Video Project where, with other churches we have been contacting hundreds of families inviting them to take a free copy of the Jesus video, a film based on Luke's gospel of the life of Jesus. A short follow-up course is available for anyone wishing to learn more.

Prayer  Every believer and every church knows the importance of prayer. In addition to the prayer meetings listed upon our Diary page there are several regular small house groups who meet specifically to pray for important issues. In 2001 we were able to open our premises to the 24-7 prayer organisation. One room was set aside for the whole week and was occupied on a rota system with believers from many churches in Braintree, ensuring that prayer was taking place for the entire week. The room became full of testimonies, examples of answered prayer, prayer requests and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. A time of great uplift and blessing.

Social
Great friendships are made within the church and with friends and families of our members. Hence there is an active social life, both in small groups and bigger numbers for days out.
